95-year “young” Tao Porchon-Lynch, Master Yoga Instructor

Living until your ninety-five is a feat.  Living at ninety-five, healthy and active, well, that’s even more remarkable.

Now imagine that your work is a master yoga instructor…

Tao Porchon-Lynch was born to an Indian mother and a French father and spent the first twenty years of her life in India.  She marched with Gandhi, was an actress in England, France and the U.S. (under contract to MGM).  Her current passion, in addition to yoga, is ballroom dancing and she is an award winning, world-class dancer.

She has been featured on many major network shows including CNN with Dr. Sanjay Gupta, an appearance on The Martha Stewart Show and feature articles in newspapers and magazines in the U.S. as well as the U.K., Russia, Ireland, Germany and Japan.

Tao lives life to the fullest with an incredible attitude about staying positive.  Tao’s philosophy is “There is nothing we cannot do if we harness the power within us.”

At a youthful 95, Tao brings a delightful, childlike love of life and nature to all that she does.

We filmed Tao as she conducted one of her many yoga classes at the Fred Astaire Dance Studio in Hartsdale, NY.  There is no question our hour with Tao has inspired me to get back onto the yoga mat.  Tao has been practicing yoga her entire life, even through two hip replacements.  I can clearly see her blowing out her birthday candles as she turns 100!  I am also sure she will be surrounded by her adoring yoga students.

We are certain this will inspire men and women from her presence in our film series about women and aging.
