Brenda Badish

Some of us would laugh at the idea of running a triathlon. For Brenda Badish, running a triathlon has become routine. With the encouragement of her trainer Kelly Fletcher from the Hamburg Fitness Center, Brenda ran at Island Lake Recreation in Brighton on August 14th. Joined by Kelly's team, Killer Fitness Tri-Club, Brenda was ready to conquer this event. This was her second triathlon that she has participated in the past few years.

Brenda is an inspirational story for all women. At the age of 68 she decided that it was time to change her life and lose weight. Just over three years later she has lost more than 140 pounds. From struggling to walk up a flight of stairs to completing a triathlon "sprint," which is a half mile swim followed by a 12 mile bike ride and finished by running a 5k, you can not help but feel motivated to train for one yourself. You can read more about her here http://embraceofaging.com/Women/2013-05-02.html.

Everyone can benefit from Brenda's story and we are thrilled that we have the opportunity to share it with women, and men, everywhere. Keep watching for more of Brenda as "The Embrace of Aging: the Female Perspective of Growing Old" continues production.
